The wellbeing of our guests and cleanliness of the barn have always been the highest priority for us here at Gospenheale Barn. It looks like Covid-19 will be around for a while yet so we have undertaken training, written a new risk assessment and put in place measures to minimise the risk of the virus being present here.
Having at least 72 hours between bookings will allow time for any virus to die on many surfaces but also gives us plenty of time to air, clean and disinfect the barn thoroughly. Most guests will now benefit from from a stay that includes two weekends so you’ll have plenty of time to really relax and unwind as well as exploring our beautiful area.
We will still welcome you personally but the usual tour of the property will be replaced by an email explaining details such as heating, equipment provided and fire safety. Brochures, maps and guidebooks will mostly be removed but still available on request and we are very happy to provide lots of ideas for walks, cycle routes and days out specific to your interests. It is very easy to practise social distancing here and we have discovered some excellent quiet walking routes during lockdown. A list of local shops and eateries that deliver and do take away services will also be emailed to you.
The usual offer of a guided walk around the farm (we’ll open all the gates for you) and a freshly baked cream tea on arrival will still be available. We discovered that Tarquins who make Cornish gin have turned to producing hand sanitiser so we’ll be leaving some in the barn to help you keep safe when you’re out and about on your Cornish holiday.
It is inevitable that things will be different for a while but with a little forward planning you will be able to enjoy quality time and return home feeling rejuvenated. Please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions. We look forward to welcoming you:)
